Lolita Snipes Biography

Because of her inventive artistry and innate abilities to create, Snipes has worked in the entertainment industry for over ten years and has been a writer/producer for the past six years. In addition to her gifted adeptness as a screenwriter and playwright, Snipes is noted author of the book, Peace In Passing (Roman Publishing, Inc).

Also to her credits are many screenplays and stage plays ranging from gospel comedies to dark dramas to psychological thrillers. After (writing) and directing several successful play dates of the production, “Glory to God”, Snipes is currently in development with a series of comedy/gospel stage-plays she has written and produced, entitled “Good God A’Mighty!” “Universal Funny-Bone!” and "Up With the JonZes" . The first is currently touring nationally.

Her latest project is the much anticipated CD "Live to  Love" featuring her group Sabbatical will be released April 2008.  All songs were written by Snipes including the Jazz tune you are  listening to, and feature some of the most profound musicians and  vocalists in the world! Snipes developed a number of music videos for Hollywood Pictures, Epic Records, and Atlantic Records with several platinum and multi-platinum records to her credits.

She is an accomplished magazine editor, producer of independent film projects for Xenon Pictures and Universal Studios, FL. Snipes has worked with such celebrity performers and presenters as Denzel Washington and Stevie Wonder at the NAACP IMAGE Awards. She created the first comedy show with a successful line up of new-to-scene comedians in the early 90’s entitled, “The Comedy House Jamms.” Today, several television and cable networks have the same programming format. She has been featured in Upscale Magazine, Quest Magazine and as made guest appearances on TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network) with over a dozen radio and newspaper interviews. 

Snipes has a Bachelor of Business, Marketing, from GA State University, Atlanta, GA, and attended Valencia College Film and Theater Production Technology Program, Orlando, FL.  Born in Atlanta GA, Snipes now lives in Orlando, Florida  and Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and is dedicated to using her writing & producing gifts to uplift the name of the Lord.
